The sixth National Charity Campaign has achieved a historic milestone as total donations through the Ehsan platform exceeded SAR1 billion. This remarkable surge in giving reflects the deep-rooted values of solidarity and compassion that define the Saudi Arabian community today.
Leadership Leads the Way
Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman ignited the campaign with SAR70 million. Their significant personal contributions provide a powerful example of the leadership’s unwavering commitment to supporting the Kingdom’s most vulnerable citizens. Consequently, the platform recorded a staggering SAR646 million in contributions during the very first day of the holy month.
The King Abdullah Humanitarian Foundation also strengthened this momentum by announcing a generous donation of SAR20 million to the platform. This substantial funding will directly support vital development projects, sustainable community initiatives, and essential humanitarian efforts throughout the Saudi Kingdom. Moreover, these contributions demonstrate how institutional giving creates a lasting impact on the social fabric of our prosperous nation.
Excellence in Digital Governance
Ehsan maintains a sophisticated digital governance framework that empowers individuals and organizations to donate through official and secure online channels. The Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority provides the technical foundation for these operations to ensure transparency and high efficiency. Furthermore, a dedicated Shariah committee meticulously oversees every transaction to guarantee full compliance with the provisions of Islamic Shariah.
Since its inception in 2021, the Ehsan platform has transformed the landscape of charitable work across the entire Saudi Kingdom. Benefactors have now contributed more than SAR15 billion through 330 million successful transactions, reaching millions of deserving people in need. This sustained growth proves that the Kingdom remains a global leader in utilizing technology for the greater good of humanity.
