The Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Mohammed bin Salman, has praised the robust strategic partnership between Riyadh and Washington.
Speaking at the Saudi-US Investment Forum in Washington, the Crown Prince said that both countries have laid the foundations of a historic strategic partnership during US President Donald Trump’s visit to Saudi Arabia in May 2025.
This strategic partnership is based on growth, economic diversification and innovation, the Saudi Crown Prince said. He also pointed to the signing of the strategic economic partnership agreement to facilitate cooperation between both countries.
Moreover, the Saudi Crown Prince touted the signing of new investment projects, including in the sectors of defense, energy, AI, critical minerals, and finance. These agreements would create more jobs and drive economic growth in the two countries, he added.
Trump, for his part, thanked Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for the unprecedented progress made in the Saudi-US relations, saying that the past 9 months have witnessed the best phase in bilateral ties.
He also emphasized the Kingdom’s status as a key US partner and a major non-NATO ally, adding that Washington will provide Riyadh with the best US military equipment.
Furthermore, the US President outlined the agreements signed during the Crown Prince’s visit to the White House. These included the world’s largest military deal, as well as agreements in the fields of minerals, defense and AI, Trump noted.
He also added that the Saudi-US Investment Forum will witness the signing of deals worth $270 billion.
