Alexi Lubomirski, a British photographer, expressed his disappointment over the international governments who are supporting Israel’s genocide in Gaza.
“It was plain disappointment to see what we thought were the good guys allowing the genocide to begin as they alluded occasionally to their disapproval of the oppressive tactics,” Lubomirski stated.
However, he noted that such governments are committing crimes without even pretending to be against the indiscriminate bombings of civilians.
“This administration, however, straight up the crimes and wears it as a badge of honor, not even pretending to disapprove of the indiscriminate bombings of journalists, medics, and countless children who were either martyred, maimed or orphaned,” Lubomirski explained.
“We have been discouraged of speaking up about the abhorrent criminal genocide on display, lest we alienate friends and family. But who would disapprove of humans speaking up to stop the killing of other innocent humans?” he asked.

Civilians are the only Innocents
Moreover, Lubomirski emphasized that civilians are the only innocents in this bloody conflict. “There are no innocents in this conflict apart from the civilians, the mothers, fathers, doctors, aid workers, journalists, and especially the children,” he said.
However, what is happening in Gaza is so extreme and its blatant genocidal objective that it pushes many to speak up when they would usually stay silent.
“I am anti any soldiers who kill innocent children on a daily basis whilst the world watches,” he added.
Opposing Israeli Actions is not Antisemitism
Apart from this, he indicated that opposing the bloody actions of the Israeli government does not mean that he is against Israel and Israelis.
“To oppose the actions of the Israeli government is not to say that I am against Israel and its people. Hundreds of thousands of Israelis are also against what is happening in Gaza. It is also not to say that I am against Jewish people. If somebody is against Trump and his world policies, it does not mean they are against all Americans or anti Christians,” he said.
Lubomirski illustrated that there are key differences between being anti-genocide and anti-sematic.
“I am not anti any religion or people. But I am pro innocent children who are watching their parents and siblings literally ripped apart in front of them by bullets and bombs or dying of hunger. I am pro compassion to people who have been oppressed for decades, a fact validated by years of NGO’s lawyers, writers, politicians, journalists and everyday people,” he added.
He also wondered what leaders and news corporations have held over people that they cannot stand up for humanity when a genocide is on full live stream display for a year and a half.
