
AlUla Tour 2025 races have kicked off, bringing together elite cyclists from across the world in Saudi Arabia’s ancient oasis city.
Cycling enthusiasts from all over the world have flocked to AlUla to attend this spectacular sports event taking place amid the captivating natural landscapes of the ancient desert oasis, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
AlUla Tour 2025 is one of the most significant cycling events which gathers Olympic champions, European champions and winners of global races. It is a testament to AlUla‘s status as a leading destination for cycling.
The Royal Commission for AlUla (RCU) is organizing the event in collaboration with the Saudi Ministry of Sport, the Saudi Cycling Federation, and the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI).
Running from January 28 to February 1, 2025, the first stage of AlUla Tour 2025 saw the participation of 25 male and female students in a training tour, led by the first professional Saudi female cyclist and the star of Jayco AlUla team, Moroj Adil.
During this tour, children had the chance to learn more about cycling, and meet and greet international cyclists, in addition to participating in a special race for children.
In its fifth edition, AlUla Tour’s routes have seen significant improvement and expansion, further establishing AlUla as an ideal destination for professional and amateur cyclists alike.
AlUla Tour 2025 underscores the RCU’s commitment to fostering the next generation of Saudi cyclists, by launching local initiatives and community events to develop youth’s skills in cycling, and encourage them to adopt cycling as a healthy lifestyle choice, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
