Al-Khateeb: Al-Baha Projects Boost Saudi Tourism
Saudi Minister of Tourism Ahmed Al-Khateeb visited Al-Baha region, and reviewed the possibilities available to visiting tourists. His visit focused on improving the quality of services and enriching the overall experience at local tourist destinations.
Al-Khateeb reviewed the Tourism Development Fund’s ongoing projects in the region. He emphasized his commitment to ensuring these projects offer qualitative benefits and meet local needs to attract more tourists from Saudi Arabia and abroad.
He admired the courtyard’s charming character, its potential, and its pleasant climate. These qualities make it a strong candidate to become one of the most prominent tourist destinations in Saudi Arabia and the surrounding region.
The data on the tourism sector in the Al-Baha region through the end of 2023 reveals that the total number of domestic and international tourists exceeded one million, marking a 6% increase compared to 2022. The total spending by tourists reached 1.2 billion riyals, reflecting a 27% increase. Additionally, 32 licenses issued for hospitality facilities were issued.
