E-Litigation Service: Streamlined Procedures Save Time, Effort for Beneficiaries

During the first half of 2025, Saudi courts conducted approximately 1.3 million remote judicial sessions—both visual and written—through the “E-Litigation” service.

According to the Ministry of Justice, the same period saw over 524,000 judgments issued electronically, while more than 300,000 decisions were made through the platform.

Designed to preserve all judicial guarantees, the E-Litigation service operates within a robust governance framework that ensures legal safeguards are upheld in a manner appropriate to this digital approach. This contributes significantly to reducing time and effort for users.

The service covers all litigation procedures permitted under current regulations that can be performed electronically. These include the exchange of legal briefs, submission of documents and evidence, virtual hearings via video conferencing, remote pleading, issuance of rulings, delivery of judgment copies, and the submission of appeals to higher courts—all managed through a specialized digital platform provided by the Ministry.
