Saudi Arabia’s capital Riyadh witnessed an extraordinary night during the Professional Fighters League (PFL) competition, where Arab talents shone brightly in an exciting evening filled with thrill and enthusiasm, attracting a remarkable audience.

Remarkably, Saudi fighter Hattan Alsaif continued to make history by achieving her fourth consecutive victory without a single defeat following her Lebanese opponent Nour Al-Fliti withdrew after suffering a severe foot injury. This victory solidified Alsaif’s status as one of the standout names in the tournament.

After the match, Alsaif expressed her ambition to nail the title, “I approach every fight with a renewed spirit and greater determination. A strong opponent motivates me to give my best, and I will keep working towards the title.”

Strong Performance from Regional Fighters

In a remarkable exhibition match, Jordanian fighter Abdel-Rahman Al-Hayasat delivered a powerful performance as he secured his first victory in the tournament by defeating Lebanese fighter Anthony Zeidan in the lightweight category. This win enhanced his reputation as a promising fighter in the regional arena.

In the bantamweight category, Jordanian fighter Nawras Abzakh secured his spot in the semifinals after a stellar performance, eliminating Algerian fighter Mokhtar Benkaci followed by Marcel Adur of Lebanon, proving his worth in the title race.

Abzakh stated after his qualification, “I have overcome many challenges to reach here, and I am ready to give my best in the semifinals. The journey is not over yet.”

Moroccan Fighters Shine in Welterweight

In the welterweight division, Moroccan fighter Badreddine Diani excelled after a well-deserved victory over Egyptian fighter Ahmad Abdel Baset to secure a spot in the semifinals, where he will face Amir Fazli of Iran.

“I was confident in my strategy inside the cage, and now my focus is entirely on qualifying for the finals and winning the title,” Diani said.

In the same weight class, Zafir Alawi of Morocco achieved his first victory in the tournament by defeating Egyptian fighter Ziad Ayman, to set up a semifinal clash against Islam Youssef of Egypt.

“The technical and tactical preparation was the key to this victory. The next challenge will be tougher, and I promise the audience beautiful surprises,” Alawi stated.

Exciting Main Event

The co-main event in the welterweight division featured an important victory for Kuwaiti fighter Mohammad Alaqraa against his Palestinian counterpart Omar Hussein. In an exciting match, Alaqraa showcased his superiority and experience, advancing to the semifinals to face Kurdish fighter Mohammad Zari.

After his victory, Al-Aqraa stated, “Every fight is a step towards the title, and I am here to prove that I am one of the top fighters in the region. The next challenge will be even stronger.”

The night concluded with an exhibition match between 2024 welterweight champion Egyptian Omar El-Dafrawy and PFL Europe star Daniel Miceli, where the Egyptian delivered an impressive performance, finishing the match with a submission.

El-Dafrawy expressed his ambition to achieve global recognition, stating, “My ambitions do not stop at regional limits. I aspire to achieve global recognition and prepare for every upcoming challenge with focus and determination.”
