The Madinah Region Development Authority, in collaboration with the regional municipality and the Chamber of Commerce, has launched the “Excellence Program for Restaurants and Cafes in the Madinah Region.” The program aims to enhance the dining experience, elevate the sector, and contribute to increasing the number of visitors while enriching their overall experience in Madinah.
The program seeks to build a community of distinguished restaurants and cafés and raise visitors’ awareness of these establishments. The criteria for participation in the program include the location of the restaurant or café, its current rating and classification based on customer experiences, and the types of food and beverages it offers.
The phase for accepting business submissions to the program via the Madinah Development Authority’s website concludes today. Meanwhile, tomorrow marks the beginning of the selection phase for participating businesses based on competition criteria. The selection process will last for three months through a poll in which visitors will participate. The program will conclude with the announcement of businesses awarded excellence badges in the restaurant and café sector, which will be revealed through the “Spirit of Madinah” platform, affiliated with the Madinah Development Authority. Additionally, the program offers benefits to outstanding restaurants and cafés that enhance visitors’ experience.
