SAR Removes 1 Million Truck Trips from Kingdom’s Roads

The General Authority for Roads confirmed that Saudi Railways (SAR) has removed over one million truck trips from the Kingdom’s roads in the first half of 2024 by transporting more than 13 million tons of goods via freight trains.

This achievement highlights the strong integration within the transport and logistics system and the significant progress in reaching the National Transport and Logistics Strategy’s goals. The strategy aims to make the Kingdom a global logistics hub and improve road network safety and quality.
