Saudi Embassy in Bangladesh Celebrates Saudi Founding Day

The Saudi Embassy in Bangladesh celebrated the Saudi Founding Day. The Saudi Ambassador to Bangladesh Issa bin Youssef Al-Duhailan attended the celebrations, reported Saudi Press Agency.

Day of Pride

Al-Duhailan said that this precious occasion is an opportunity for all people to remember the authentic history of this country’s leadership, and to express pride and appreciation for the impressive achievements it has accomplished in various fields. He also pointed out the Kingdom’s wide developments in the past years in accordance with the Saudi Vision 2030, and its active contributions on the international stage.

The celebration included a number of diverse national events, including visual presentations about the history of the Saudi state over three centuries. Moreover, the embassy’s premises were decorated to reflect the identity of the Saudi Founding Day.

Saudi Founding Day

Saudi Arabia celebrated the Saudi Founding Day on Thursday, 12 Shaban 1445H, corresponding to February 22, 2024. This day remarks thefounding of the Saudi state in the mid-year of 1139H (1727 AD) by Imam Mohammed bin Saud.

The celebration of Founding Day serves as a reminder of Saudi Arabia’s journey. Moreover, this day is a testament to the nation’s resilience and unity, continuing a legacy that began in 1727. The Kingdom has faced challenges but maintained societal security and cohesion.a

The state bin Saud founded was marked by significant social, political, economic, and cultural events. He shaped the life of the Arabian Peninsula under the rule of the first Saudi state.
