Makkah Municipality Carries Out 90,000 Initiatives to Enhance Environmental Cleanliness

The Holy Makkah Municipality carried out extensive environmental sanitation efforts between March 1 and 29 as part of its continuous drive to enhance public health and curb the spread of disease-carrying pests.
During this period, the municipality completed 90,092 field operations throughout the city, demonstrating strong preparedness and operational efficiency in managing key areas. Specialized teams stepped up actions against mosquito breeding sites, addressing 43,563 locations. These efforts included 18,831 operations across different districts, along with the treatment of 1,543 stagnant water sites that could serve as breeding grounds for insects.

The municipality reaffirmed its dedication to maintaining regular sanitation programs and strengthening field oversight to uphold high standards, promote public health, and improve the overall quality of services.
