54,662 Benefit from Volunteering Opportunities in Northern Border Region

During the year 2023, 54,662 beneficiaries took advantage of the volunteering opportunities offered by the Northern Border Region Gathering, reported Saudi Press Agency.

The gathering clarified that the services provided through these volunteering opportunities included therapeutic services, awareness and education, and support services. 1,005 volunteers participated contributing a total of 43,844 volunteer hours.

Enhancing Investment Opportunities in Northern Borders Region

His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Khalid bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Northern Borders Region in KSA, oversaw the signature of several cooperation agreements today.

These deals aim to enhance investment opportunities and attract investors to the Northern Borders Region in KSA.

They are seen as a significant step towards larger and more substantial investments in the Northern Border Region, ultimately benefiting the community and serving the public interest.

Strategic Partnership with Ministry of Investment

The first agreement, signed between the Ministry of Investment and the Northern Border Region Municipality, establishes a strategic partnership.

This collaboration is designed to support and develop investment opportunities, attract investors and fulfill requirements for shared goals.

Jarir Marketing Company Involvement

The Municipality also signed two investment contracts with Jarir Marketing Company. These agreements aim to establish a Jarir Bookstore.

Education and Mining Sector Collaboration

The Northern Border Region’s Education Administration signed a cooperation agreement with the Saudi Arabian Mining Company, Ma’aden.

This agreement focuses on operating three model high schools to enhance education in the region.

Additionally, a cooperative agreement between the Northern Border University and Ma’aden Wa’ad Al-Shamal Phosphate Company targets exchanging views on mutual interest matters during local and international forums.

It also targets exchanging  training and consultancy services, cooperating in event organization, and sponsoring engineering college graduates.

Private Sector Enhancement

Finally,   the Arar Chamber of Commerce and Ma’aden signed a memorandum of cooperation. This memorandum aims to boost the private sector’s role in achieving economic and social development.

It focuses on enhancing the role of the private sector, as its is the public sector’s strategic partner to achieve the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.

It also focuses on improving the quality of services provided to the business sector.
