Vice Minister of Culture Hamed Fayez received the Ambassador of Japan to Saudi Arabia, Yasunari Morino, at the Ministry of Culture to discuss the deep-rooted cultural ties between the two countries.
Fayez conveyed his appreciation for Japan’s generous support of the Kingdom during its preparations for participation in Expo 2025 Osaka, and expressed eagerness for Japan’s role in Expo 2030 Riyadh.
The meeting also reviewed the progress of cultural exchange initiatives between the Kingdom and Japan in diverse fields. Highlights included the Manga Hokusai Manga exhibition held earlier this year at the Saudi Arabia Museum of Contemporary Art, as well as the Saudi Cultural Week organized in July at the Expo 2025 Osaka headquarters—an event that coincided with the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two nations.
