Trump Claims ‘Honor’ Killing Iran’s Leaders as Bombardment Intensifies

US President Donald Trump declared on Friday that he feels honored to be killing the Iranian leadership, whom he called “deranged scumbags.” The President issued these remarks via social media shortly after midnight in Washington as the conflict entered a violent new phase.

“They’ve been killing innocent people all over the world for 47 years,” Trump posted on Truth Social regarding the Iranian regime. “Now I, as the 47th President of the United States of America, am killing them. What a great honor it is to do so!”

The President also dismissed media reports that questioned the strategic success of the ongoing military campaign against the Islamic Republic. “You would incorrectly think that we are not winning,” Trump wrote, asserting that the Iranian military is currently being decimated. He further claimed that US and Israeli forces have already wiped many Iranian leaders from the face of the earth.

Escalation on the Front Lines

Iran’s longtime Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, died in the initial strikes after the war began on February 28, according to officials. His son, Mojtaba Khamenei, recently took power and vowed to avenge his father’s blood while ordering the Strait of Hormuz closed. Global oil prices have surged as the closure of this vital waterway effectively halts shipping traffic through the narrow Persian Gulf.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth announced during a Friday press conference that the US military would bombard Iran more heavily today. “In fact, today will be yet again, the highest volume of strikes that America has put over the skies of Iran,” Hegseth said. He emphasized that the Pentagon has authorized the use of unparalleled firepower and unlimited ammunition to achieve its strategic objectives.

Humanitarian and Economic Impact

Despite the administration’s focus on military success, international observers have raised serious concerns regarding the high number of civilian casualties. A reported US strike on a girls’ elementary school in Tehran recently killed dozens of students, sparking significant global outrage. Meanwhile, the Pentagon informed lawmakers that the cost of the war has already exceeded $11 billion in just two weeks.

“We have plenty of time, watch what happens to these deranged scumbags today,” Trump posted, signaling no immediate end to the war. The President maintains that the US will ensure the Iranian regime never obtains a nuclear weapon through this massive combat operation.
