Saudi Industry Minister Hold Talks with Tunisian Officials
The Saudi Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Bandar bin Ibrahim Alkhorayef, initiated bilateral meetings with several Tunisian government ministers. The Saudi Ambassador to Tunisia, Dr. Abdulaziz bin Ali Al Saqr, also attended these meetings. This took place during the minister’s official visit to the Republic of Tunisia.
Leadership in the Joint Committee
The visit’s primary purpose was to lead the Saudi delegation in the eleventh session of the Saudi-Tunisian Joint Committee. The meetings were held in Tunisia’s capital, Tunis.
Industry Minister Participation in Investment Forum
The industry minister also participated in the Saudi-Tunisian Investment and Partnership Forum. This forum was an opportunity to discuss and develop strategic partnerships between the two countries.
Discussion with Tunisian Finance Minister
In a significant meeting, the minister discussed ways to enhance cooperation with Tunisian Finance Minister Siham Boughdiri Namsia. They focused on expanding bilateral cooperation and exploring investment opportunities.
Industry Minister Discusses Agriculture and Water Resources Cooperation
The minister met with Tunisian Minister of Agriculture, Water Resources, and Fisheries, Abdelmoneim Belati. They discussed bilateral cooperation, especially in water management. A memorandum of understanding in this area is expected to be signed.
Industry Minister Talks Enhancing Trade and Non-Oil Exports
The minister also met with Tunisian Minister of Trade and Export Development, Kalthoum Ben Rajab. They discussed increasing trade exchange and expanding Saudi non-oil exports to Tunisia, including industrial products and minerals.
Joint Work Program Review
The meeting also covered reviewing the results of a joint work program. This program aims to strengthen the partnership in trade and investment, enhance economic cooperation, and share knowledge and expertise.
Industry and Mining Sector Cooperation
Meeting with the Tunisian official responsible for the Ministry of Industry, Mines, and Energy, Ahlam El Baji Sayeb, the minister discussed enhancing cooperation in the industrial and mining sectors. They also explored encouraging private sector investment in these areas.
Memorandum of Understanding in Industrial Field
A memorandum of understanding in the industrial field is set to be signed. This memorandum will further enhance industrial cooperation between the two nations.
