Saudi Communications Minister Meets Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg to Foster AI Technologies
Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Eng. Abdullah Alswaha, has held a meeting with Founder, Chairman and CEO of Meta Mark Zuckerberg in the United States, according to the Saudi Press Agency.
The meeting is part of the Alswaha’s visit to foster strategic partnerships with the US in artificial intelligence (AI) and innovative digital solutions.
Notably, the meeting discussed partnership opportunities in AI, large language models (LLMs), the metaverse, as well as generative AI.
The talks also spotlighted initiatives designed to empower innovators and developers, fostering national capabilities in research, creativity, and technological advancement.
Alswaha’s visit primarily seeks to strengthen Saudi-American strategic partnerships in technology, artificial intelligence, and innovation.
The visit’s program features a series of meetings with senior government officials and pioneering technology and AI companies, aimed at fostering cooperation in the fields of advanced computing and AI systems.
The visit further solidifies the strategic partnership between Saudi Arabia and the US. It also underscores the Kingdom’s position as a prestigious global hub for technology and innovation in line with Saudi Vision 2030’s objective of building a sustainable, knowledge-based digital economy.
