
The Saudi Minister of Energy, Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman, on Wednesday uncovered new hydrocarbon discoveries, including 14 new oil and natural gas fields in the Eastern Region and the Empty Quarter, reported the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
According to the Saudi Energy Minister, the Saudi oil giant, Aramco, identified 6 fields and 2 reservoirs of Arabian oil, in addition to 2 fields and 4 reservoirs of natural gas.
On this occasion, Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman congratulated the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and the Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Mohammed bin Salman, on these discoveries, wishing the Kingdom and its people more progress and prosperity.

Moreover, the Saudi Energy Minister emphasized that these new discoveries represent an added value that further establishes Saudi Arabia’s status as a global leader in the energy sector.
The new discoveries also underscore the Kingdom’s hydrocarbon potential, unlocking new horizons for economic developments, as well as bolstering Saudi Arabia’s ability to meet local and global energy demand, he noted.
The Saudi Energy Minister also pointed out that these oil and gas discoveries will ensure sustainable economic growth and prosperity, in line with Saudi Vision 2030 and the Kingdom’s ambitious goals of optimizing the utilization of its natural resources and strengthen global energy security.
