Saudi Arabia has expressed strong condemnation of Israel’s attack on the city of Koya, in southern Syria, which killed and injured civilians.
On Wednesday, the Saudi Foreign Ministry issued a statement expressing the Kingdom’s strong condemnation and denunciation of the Israeli bombing of the Syrian town of Koya, which led to the death and injury of dozens of innocent civilians.
The Foreign Ministry also reiterated Saudi Arabia’s categorical rejection of Israel’s continued attempts to undermine the security and stability of Syria and the region through the blatant and repeated violations of the relevant international laws.

Moreover, Saudi Arabia reaffirmed its solidarity with Syria against the unjustified Israeli aggression. It also urged the UN Security Council member states to assume their role, stand firmly against the ongoing Israeli attacks in Syria and the region, and activate international accountability mechanisms, the statement added.
On Tuesday, an intense artillery and air bombardment targeted the Syrian town of Koya in the western Daraa countryside, claiming the lives of 6 civilians, according the Syrian Foreign Ministry.
The Israeli military said its troops had clashed with armed men who had opened fire on them. It added that Israeli troops returned fire and that an Israeli warplane hit the militants, Reuters reported.
Syria’s Foreign Ministry called for an international investigation into Israel’s attacks on Syrian territory, which it described as “flagrant violation of national sovereignty and international law.”
