Saudi Arabia Ranks 4th in G20 Road Infrastructure Quality Index

The recent report from the World Economic Forum in 2023 has highlighted Saudi Arabia’s significant advancement in the global ranking for road infrastructure quality within the G20 nations, placing it fourth with a score of 5.7. This achievement reflects the Kingdom’s dedicated efforts in enhancing its transportation network, pivotal for its Vision 2030 goals.

Saudi Arabia’s road network is expansive and advanced, covering over 71,500 km of paved roads. The Ministry of Transport and Logistics has implemented innovative safety features, such as automated voice-warning signs.

These have contributed to a significant decrease in road fatalities. It is highlighting the Kingdom’s commitment to safety and efficiency on its roads. The improvements in road quality and safety are part of a larger vision to enhance regional trade and cooperation, particularly within the GCC.
