Saudi Arabia launches a public bus transport project in Taif

Saudi Prince Khaled Al-Faisal, Adviser to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Governor of Makkah Al-Mukarramah Region, inaugurated a public bus transportation project in Taif Governorate.

Dr. Rumaih bin Muhammad Al-Rumaih, President of the Public Transport Authority, was present at the emirate’s headquarters in Jeddah.

Prince Khaled Al-Faisal was briefed on the bus-based public transportation project, which was approved as part of the current fiscal year’s budget.

Taif Public Transportation Project

The project has (9) lanes and (58) buses dedicated to delivering public transportation.

It also has (182) rest stops to serve the people and visitors of Taif Governorate for 18 hours a day.

The project’s objective is to improve public transportation.

The Public Transport Authority discussed the Taif Governorate’s public transportation service initiative, which intends to give citizens a variety of transit options.

It also seeks to improve the governorate’s level of safety and quality of life by enabling transportation within cities and reducing traffic congestion.
