Saudi Arabia on Wednesday strongly condemned the Israeli Knesset’s preliminary approval of two bills seeking to impose Israeli sovereignty over the occupied West Bank and legalize control over an illegal settlement.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement saying that the Kingdom rejects all settlement and expansionist measures by the Israeli occupation authorities. It reaffirmed Saudi Arabia’s unwavering support for the legitimate and historical rights of the Palestinian people.
Call to uphold international law
Additionally, Riyadh urged the international community to shoulder its full responsibility by enforcing international resolutions and stopping Israeli violations against Palestinian land and people.
The ministry emphasized that lasting regional peace requires a two-state solution guaranteeing the establishment of an independent Palestinian state along the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
Saudi Arabia renewed its call for reviving peace efforts that ensure justice, stability, and security across the region in line with international legitimacy.
