Saudi Arabia Calls for Political Solution to End Sudan’s Crisis

Saudi Arabia urged the warring factions in Sudan on Tuesday to agree to a ceasefire, end the conflict, and ensure the smooth delivery of humanitarian aid. The government emphasized that a political solution is the only path to resolve the crisis. It also reiterated the importance of committing to the Jeddah Declaration signed on May 11, 2023.

Cabinet Meeting Addresses Regional Peace Efforts

Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman led the Cabinet session held in Riyadh. The ministers reviewed regional developments, reaffirming Saudi Arabia’s relentless efforts in collaboration with the international community to promote peace and security in the region.

These efforts were exemplified by the Kingdom’s hosting of the inaugural Global Alliance meeting, which focused on implementing the Two-State Solution. This meeting saw the participation of 90 countries, as well as regional and international organizations, to support the establishment of an independent Palestinian state.

Call for Arab-Islamic Summit on Israeli Aggression

The Cabinet highlighted Saudi Arabia’s call for a joint Arab-Islamic follow-up summit later this month. The summit will address the ongoing Israeli assaults on Palestinian and Lebanese territories, signaling the Kingdom’s strong stance on regional conflicts.

Crown Prince Mohammed updated the Cabinet on his discussions with several leaders from brotherly and friendly nations. These talks centered on enhancing relations across various sectors.

Saudi-Bahraini and Saudi-Indian Cooperation

Minister of Media Salman Al-Dossary informed the Saudi Press Agency that the Cabinet praised the outcomes of the third meeting of the Saudi-Bahraini Coordination Council’s security committee. The initiatives discussed aim to strengthen the already robust fraternal ties between the two nations.

Additionally, the Cabinet commended the success of the second ministerial meeting of the Saudi-Indian Strategic Partnership Council. The discussions covered mutual goals in industries such as technology, agriculture, food security, and sustainable transportation.

Saudi Arabia’s Participation in G20 and Tourism Success

The Cabinet also reviewed Saudi Arabia’s active role in recent G20 meetings, where it emphasized its commitment to sustainability in education, innovation, and global health solutions.

Domestically, the Cabinet celebrated Saudi Arabia’s 15-place leap in the 2023 international tourist revenue rankings, marking significant progress compared to 2019. This achievement highlights the Kingdom’s leadership in the tourism sector and its global success in attracting visitors.
