Saud bin Nayef: Human rights are a priority for the Kingdom’s leadership

His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Eastern Region, received in his office in the Emirate’s Court His Excellency the Vice President of Human Rights, Mr. Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al Khayal, accompanied by the Director of the Human Rights Commission Branch in the Eastern Region, Ms. Nawal Al Bawardi.

His Highness affirmed that the leadership of this country since its establishment has paid great attention to human rights based on Islamic Sharia, which has preserved human rights in all its forms. In Saudi Arabia, all the systems give every one his right without paying attention to any other considerations.

On the other hand, His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Eastern Province, sponsored the opening of the Forum for Rehabilitation Programs and Services for Persons with Disabilities, which was organized by the branch of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development in the Eastern Province.

His Highness, the Governor of the Eastern Region, inaugurated the activities of the forum, which include supporting persons with disabilities, in addition to training stations that were used in the rehabilitation of persons with disabilities that aim to develop skills. These stations target parents of people with disabilities, students, and teachers of special education, specialists, and those interested in providing services to people with disabilities.

His Highness inaugurated the “Sanadak” program, which is a voluntary work license for people with disabilities, to achieve integration in serving people with disabilities.

The program also aims to improve the level of knowledge of the voluntary needs and opportunities specialized in the field of service with all kinds of disabilities. It has three main pillars: (raising the level of service, promoting specialized volunteer work, and innovation in projects directed to people with disabilities).

The program is expected to produce some outputs, most notably: empowering 200 trainees, influencing 5,000 beneficiaries through scientific seminars at the end of each course, enriching 10 scientific awareness designs, sustainability by selecting the best 20 volunteer initiatives, and honoring 70 capable personalities in serving people with disabilities.
