Riyadh Season Breaks Record by Appearing 24 Bln Times on Social Media

Riyadh Season 2023 has broken a record, as it appeared on social media platforms 24 billion times, according to Statistics issued by the General Entertainment Authority in Saudi Arabia, reported Al Arabiya. There have been 436 million interactions with 4075 posts on 13 platforms, viewed by 1.65 billion people.

The head of the General Entertainment Authority, Turki Al-Sheikh, published these statistics on his official account on “X”. The statistics showed that the total reach through these platforms reached 670 million, while clicks reached 22 million. Various media outlets, including local and international newspapers, channels, and agencies, interacted to reach nearly 122,000 articles published on all their media platforms, in more than 75 languages.

The General Entertainment Authority (GEA) recently announced that the number of visitors to entertainment events and activities during 2023 reached more than 72 million visitors, an increase of 17% compared to 2022. Moreover, the number of licenses issued reached more than 6 thousand licenses granted in 117 cities.

The authority added that the number of licensed events reached 5,406 activities of all kinds, including entertainment events, entertainment shows, and live shows in restaurants and cafes. Moreover, 230 entertainment destinations were licensed, an increase of 46% compared to the year 2022.

Since the launch of Riyadh Season under the slogan ‘Big Time’, the season’s zones have witnessed a wide array of extraordinary activities, including the fight featuring the world’s fiercest man.

Riyadh Season Zones

This year, Riyadh Season introduced Wonder Garden, the largest traveling entertainment city, covering an area of half a million square meters. The family-friendly area offers modern global entertainment experiences. It also featured new experiences like Little Crazy inspired by fairy tales.

Visitors to the “Wonder Garden,” one of the Riyadh Season zones, enjoy watching the roaming shows. The shows are one of the distinctive entertainment segments in the amusement city’s world and the first of its kind in the Middle East.

The shows’ costumes are inspired by the nature of the sub-areas of “Wonder Garden,” such as the trees and butterfly area.

The floors of the “Wonder Garden” area spread positive energy among visitors as they mimic each floor in the sub-areas.

These shows distinguish themselves by embodying the identity of each sub-area, creating an artistic and spectacular display full of fun and excitement amid the diverse activities in the region.

The “Wonder Garden” area includes more than 70 games and experiences. Furthermore, the sub areas feature the Flamingo Lake and the Artistic Sculptures area. It is characterized by its enchanting atmosphere inspired by trees, flowers, and butterflies.

House of Hype at Riyadh Season  offers its visitors 12 exclusive interactive experiences. It harness body movement tracking technologies to bring the virtual experience to reality.

The area offers a plethora of odd and unmatched experiences such as Graffiti light painting.

Visitors can also design shoes the hype way using their singing voices. It analyzes the visitor’s voice and then determines the shoes’ colors based on their tone.

Moreover, visitors get to roam a forest area between extending trees made of lights.

Via Riyadh offers it visitors a lavish experience where they can enjoy cinema , cafes, restaurants, and international brands.

Via Riyadh is one of the most prominent destinations of this year’s Riyadh Season, reported Saudi Press Agency.  It encompasses many elements of sophistication designed in the Salmani architectural style.

People can go shopping for famous fashion and jewelry brands, in addition to a collection of luxurious international cafes and restaurants, cinema halls.
