Real Madrid Captain Attracts Interest from Saudi League

Real Madrid captain, Nacho Fernandez, has reportedly caught the attention of the Roshn Saudi League, as he expressed his desire to leave the club at the end of the season to the management of the Spanish La Liga giants.

According to a report from the British online newspaper Independent, the 34-year-old star has no intentions of remaining in La Liga, indicating a potential departure from Spain for the first time in his extensive career.

His reluctance stems from not wanting to compete against his beloved boyhood club and the team of his dreams, Real Madrid.

The article also mentions that with Nacho’s decision to depart Real Madrid now apparent, he has garnered interest from both Saudi Arabia’s Saudi Professional League and Major League Soccer (MLS) in the United States.

No Formal Decision

Nacho’s departure is anticipated to be marked by the highest honor in his possession – the UEFA Champions League trophy.

Real Madrid’s primary objective at present is to bid farewell to Nacho while ensuring he lifts the prestigious trophy.

Inter chase Nacho

Despite constant rumors linking Nacho to Inter Milan over multiple transfer windows, a potential move to Italy appears to be complex, as highlighted by an Italian journalist.

The Saudi Public Investment Fund has taken charge of overseeing four domestic teams in the Kingdom – Al-Hilal, Al-Nasr, Al-Ahly, and Ittihad Jeddah – in the Saudi Professional League.

These teams have made substantial investments to attract renowned players to the Kingdom.

Al-Hilal secured the services of Brazilian superstar Neymar, while Al-Nasr acquired Portuguese legend Cristiano Ronaldo and two-time African Footballer of the Year, Senegalese Sadio Mane.

Al-Ahly managed to sign former Liverpool striker Roberto Firmino, and Ittihad Jeddah, the reigning Saudi Pro League champions, joined the race by acquiring Real Madrid star Karim Benzema during the summer transfer window.
