Princess Nourah bint Abdul-Rahman University has participated in several international classifications, “The- University Impact ranking” which was recently launched by the British Times Foundation to assess universities and measure their impact on society.
Assessment is based on its success in achieving the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals “SDGs” “Sustainability Development Goals” ) Which represents a plan and framework towards achieving sustainable societies that address regional and global challenges .
In this regard, the Vice-President for Development and Quality, Dr. Hoda Bint Omar Al-Wahaibi, explained that the university’s participation in the “Times” classification this year comes within an integrated series of goals that are planned according to a clear road map that seeks to make the university reach the inter nationality .
Al-Wahaibi indicated that the university’s evaluation came based on the best results in several goals, including: economic growth, reducing inequality, and partnerships to achieve goals. Princess Noura University has ranked third locally, and 472 globally in the “The- Impact Ranking” 2020 “in its second edition.”
Al-Wahaibi pointed that 38 of the indicators of the Princess Noura University’s strategic plan are linked to international classification standards and indicators, at an estimated rate of 43.6%.
It is noteworthy that the university is preparing to add 8 goals for sustainable development to a total of 14 goals in the next year 2021 AD. That’s to support the university’s center on the global map, in order to achieve the university’s mission of educational excellence and research leadership that contributes to building the knowledge economy in community and global partnership.
