
Oil prices climbed sharply today, rising above $119 per barrel—their highest level since mid-2022.
Brent crude futures jumped $8.77 (9.46%) to $101.46 per barrel, while West Texas Intermediate (WTI) gained $7.92 (8.71%), reaching $98.82 per barrel.

Earlier in the session, Brent crude briefly touched $119.50 per barrel, marking its biggest single-day surge on record, while WTI peaked at $119.48 per barrel.
