The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) Spokesperson, Hussain Al-Qahtani, has dismissed the news circulating about the Kingdom’s weather being directly affected by hurricanes as incorrect.
Al-Qahtani said the kingdom overlooks semi-enclosed seas where tropical cyclones do not form, and their direct impact is highly unlikely.
The spokesperson stressed the importance of taking information from its rightful source via the NCM website and the Center’s account on the X platform @NCMKSA, which has information about the various climate conditions and their associated effects.
