Saudi Arabia has launched the first phase of the prestigious Madinah Gate project. This ambitious development aligns perfectly with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 goals, aiming to elevate Madinah as a global destination. This development covers 37,000 square meters, including 22,000 square meters of rental space for diverse commercial uses.
The first phase, valued at $160 million, includes a 4-star hotel with 325 rooms, 80 stores, 44 restaurants, and entertainment areas. A modern bus station, accommodating 780 passengers per hour, integrates seamlessly with the Haramain High-Speed Railway connecting Mecca and Madinah.
Collaboration Driving Vision 2030
The project results from collaboration among Saudi Railways, Knowledge Economic City, the Madinah Development Authority, and the Madinah Mayoralty. This initiative prioritizes sustainable urban planning, infrastructure enhancement, and transforming Madinah into a world-class tourist hub. Knowledge Economic City Chairman Amin Shaker highlighted the project’s importance in boosting Madinah’s global status and improving the quality of life.
Phase One focuses on mixed-use spaces and connectivity to essential transport systems, fostering sustainable and innovative urban solutions. The project enhances hospitality, housing, and cultural spaces, strengthening Madinah’s role as a prime destination for tourism and investment. Madinah’s Emir, Sheikh Salman bin Sultan, inaugurated the project, emphasizing its transformative impact on the city’s urban landscape.
