KSA, Russia sign agreement to develop military cooperation

The Deputy Defense Minister, His Royal Highness Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, and the Russian Deputy Defense Minister, Alexander Fomin, signed an agreement on military cooperation between the governments of the Kingdom and Russia.

His Highness discussed with the Russian Defense Minister ways to enhance military and defense cooperation, joint efforts to maintain security and stability in the region, and the most prominent challenges facing the two countries.

His Highness had arrived yesterday on an official visit to participate in “ARMY 2021”, which was launched at the Patriot Convention and Exhibition Center in Kubinka in the Moscow region.

Upon his arrival in Moscow, His Highness was received by the Russian Deputy Director of International Relations at the Russian Defense Ministry, Lieutenant-General Alexei Lepalin Analutovich, and some officials.

The reception was also attended by the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to the Russian Federation, Abdulrahman bin Suleiman Al-Ahmad, and the Saudi military attache to Russia, Brigadier General Saad bin Muhammad Al-Kathiri.

During the visit, His Highness will meet with some Russian officials to discuss bilateral relations between the two countries and issues of common interest to support the security and stability of the region.
