Dr. Walid Al-Samani Justice Minister, directed to expand the provision of electronic marriage contract service in all regions of Saudi Arabia, through ezawaj.sa platform, after the success of the experimental launch of the service in Riyadh.
The Ministry confirmed that the electronic marriage contract service saves time and effort for the beneficiaries, by shortening many of the previous procedures and canceling the review of many government agencies.
It also clarified that the beneficiaries who are about to get married can book an appointment with the Ma’zoun near the site, as it is required to fill out the application through the ezawaj.sa service portal.
Ministry indicated that the service aims to fully electronically document the data, automate the marriage contract procedures from home, which would bring about a major positive shift in the registration of marriage events in the Kingdom, in a way that serves the beneficiaries and facilitates their dealings.
The Ministry of Justice stated that the “marriage” platform eliminates the need for the beneficiary to review the court to document the contract, the medical examination centers to know the results of the examination.
It also eliminates civil status to record the event of the marriage, as well as cancel the paper contract document and the record book for the marriage officer, as all these steps have become completely electronic, indicating Noting that, with the new service, the beneficiary can now obtain the results of the pre-marital medical examination electronically.
In order to provide the service with the highest quality, the Ministry of Justice completed its digital integration with the Ministry of Health, the Civil Status Agency at the Ministry of Interior, the National Information Center, and the e-government program “Yesser”, in cooperation with the project’s technical partner, Thiqa Company.
