Iran-backed Houthi rebels target Aramco economic facilities in Saudi Arabia
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was subjected to hostile attacks by the terrorist Houthi militia targeting economic and civil facilities, including the Al-Shaqeeq water desalination plant, the Aramco facility in Jizan, and the Dhahran Al-Janoub power plant, in southern Saudi Arabia.
International condemnations continued for the Houthi hostile targeting of civilians objects in Saudi Arabia, stressing its support for all measures taken by the Kingdom to preserve its security, stability, and safety of citizens and residents on its lands.
An official source in the Saline Water Conversion Corporation in Saudi Arabia confirmed that the terrorist attack targeting the desalination system in Al-Shaqeeq did not affect the production and supply of desalinated water to the beneficiary areas, as the targeting was partial, and it was overcome at the time by activating emergency plans.
An official source in the Saudi Ministry of Energy announced that the attack on the facilities of the Yanbu Sinopec Refining Company (YASREF) led to a temporary decrease in the refinery’s production level, noting that this decrease will be compensated for from the stockpile.
