FII Concludes its 8th Edition with Global Initiatives

The eighth annual Future Investment Initiative (FII) Conference wrapped up yesterday, closing three days of discussions and global initiatives under the theme, “Infinite Horizons: Investing Today, Shaping Tomorrow.” Held from October 29 to 31, the event brought together global leaders, investors, and innovators to explore a broad spectrum of topics and announce several impactful initiatives.

FII Institute CEO Richard Attias highlighted the event’s role in pushing boundaries and expanding human potential. He also stressed the need to address urgent global issues like governance, healthcare, and living costs.

Conference sessions delved into the concept of megaregions—vast, interconnected economic zones emerging as new centers of opportunity. Discussions focused on the critical role of capital in advancing these hubs through innovative solutions and strategic infrastructure investments. Experts also examined the transformative potential of artificial intelligence (AI), which is expected to add $13 trillion to the global economy by 2030.

Innovative Projects

World leaders and decision-makers shared insights on initiatives to address urgent challenges and improve citizens’ well-being. The FII introduced several innovative projects, including a global initiative to promote AI in emerging markets and Ocean Central, a digital platform developed by Wave and powered by the FII Institute. Additionally, this platform collects data to provide a comprehensive view of ocean health and serves as a vital resource for restoring our oceans.

The FII Institute has launched three key initiatives: AI Inclusive, Human Health, and Wave for the Ocean. These programs aim to improve the well-being of millions by providing free health checks, reducing healthcare costs, and promoting sustainability. The institute also published reports like the FII PRIORITY Compass and the Global Future of Work Compass, offering valuable insights into global trends and challenges.

The FII PRIORITY Compass, based on opinions from over 22,000 people in 21 countries, highlighted global priorities like governance, healthcare, and the cost of living. Moreover, the Global Future of Work Compass surveyed over 1,300 individuals and 200 companies in the MENA region. The report shows that 50% of respondents find advanced technology disruptive, while 46% believe youth tech training is insufficient, highlighting the need for education reform and upskilling.
