The 47th edition of the Dakar Rally, the world’s premier rally raid event, commences today in Saudi Arabia. This marks the sixth consecutive year the Kingdom hosts this prestigious competition, reflecting its growing prominence in global motorsport.
Record-Breaking Lineup
Over 800 competitors from around the globe are set to navigate the grueling 7,700 km course. The rally features 12 stages, including a 48-hour marathon stage, testing endurance and strategy. Notably, 45% of the special stages will have separate routes for bikes and cars, enhancing the challenge.
The rally kicks off with a prologue in Bisha, followed by stages traversing diverse terrains. Competitors will journey through Al Henakiyah, Al-‘Ula, Ha’il, Al Duwadimi, Riyadh, and Haradh, culminating in Shubaytah.
