Al-Hilal Faces Al-Nassr on the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Cup Title

The final of the King’s Cup is set to take place at the King Abdullah Sports City stadium between Al-Nassr and Al-Hilal, under the auspicious of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman. The eagerly awaited match will kick off at 9:00 pm on Friday, May 31.

The victorious team will obtain a prize money of SR10 million, marking the largest amount received by a club at the Arab and Asian levels.

Riyadh’s biggest two rivals will battle it out to be crowned King’s Cup champions. Al-Nassr has achieved an outstanding victory (4-2) against Al-Ittihad on Monday, with two thrilling goals by Cristiano Ronaldo, taking his season tally to 35. The Portuguese player expressed his excitement to the final match on social media, saying: “This is Alnassr! Let’s go to Jeddah.”

On the other hand, Mitrovic has scored a prominent goal against Al-Nassr in the league this season, rescuing Al-Hilal’s unbeaten streak. Al-Nassr defeated Al-Hilal in the Arab Champions’ Cup final last summer. However, Al-Nassr has finished the Saudi Pro League 14 points adrift of their cross-city rivals. Moreover, they were out of the AFC Champions League after Al Ain’s winning.

Al-Hilal celebrated the crowning ceremony of securing its 19th Saudi Pro League title held on Friday at Al-Hilal’s Kingdom Arena. The team showcased dominance in the 31st round with a 4-1 victory over Al-Hazem.

Interestingly, the event marked the attendance of several representatives of the Guinness Book of World Records. They were so eager to honor the club for its historic success in various competitions. Al-Hilal has won 34 consecutive victories this season in various tournaments, being the first team to secure such an achievement in history, entering Guinness Records.
