Qiddiya Hosts Extreme E’s Desert X Prix 2025

Qiddiya City hosted on Saturday Race 1 of the Desert X Prix 2025 – part of Extreme E electric off-road racing series, reported the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

The Saudi Automobile and Motorcycle Federation (SAMF) organized the event, in collaboration with the Public Investment Fund (PIF) and Qiddiya City and under the supervision of the Saudi Sport Ministry.

Team Kristoffersson Motorsport (KMS), featuring Johan Kristoffersson and Mikaela Ahlin-Kottulinsky, won Race 1 of the Desert X Prix 2025 in Qiddiya City.

The second place went to Team EVEN, with drivers Ole Christian Veiby and Hedda Hosås finishing second. Meanwhile, Team Hansen, with drivers Andreas Bakkerud and Catie Munnings, secured the third place.

On the other hand, the Redemption Race, which included the four teams that didn’t make it to the Final after qualifying, saw team Jameel Motorsport dominating. JBX Powered by Team Monaco finished second, while STARD secured the third place.

The Desert X Prix 2025 will conclude on Sunday, with Race 2 scheduled to take place on a 3,127-meter-long course that spans between 10 and 60 meters in width.

Located at Qiddiya City’s Tuwaiq Mountains, the Extreme E‘s course is the series’ “most extreme to date,” featuring jumps, demanding turns, banked corners, as well as straights that test drivers and teams.

“This is the world’s best off-road race track. It has everything: sweeping turns and berms, fast straights, and jumps, set against the unbeatable backdrop of the Tuwaiq Mountains,” Extreme E and Extreme H Chief Championship Officer, James Taylor, said.
