10 investment agreements signed during the Saudi-Uzbek Summit worth SAR 45 billion
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Uzbekistan have signed 10 agreements worth 45 billion riyals ($11.99 billion) in the field of investment, according to Saudi TV.
“Green” economy and technology are the most prominent files of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev during his visit to Saudi Arabia.
The President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev visits Saudi Arabia from 17 to 18 August at the invitation of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
According to the accommodation program, the main events of the Uzbek-Saudi summit at the highest level are scheduled to be held in Jeddah.
The agenda of the talks include discussions on expanding multi-faceted cooperation between the two countries, especially in the fields of trade, economy, investment, energy, financial, cultural, and humanitarian.
Particular attention will be given to the implementation of joint projects and programs in the field of the “green” economy, high technology, digitalization, innovation, medicine, small business, and entrepreneurship.
After the summit, a strong package of bilateral agreements will be signed.
The visit program also includes meetings with leaders of leading Saudi companies and official international structures – the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the Islamic Development Bank.
During his visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev is expected to visit the holy cities of Makkah and Madinah.
