SR 57 Million for Poultry Farming Projects
The Ministry of Environment Water and Agriculture announced the deposit of more than 57 million riyals in accounts of people responsible for poultry farming from the tenth batch to support sector projects in the agricultural subsidies program.
The ministry stated that this support included many aspects of poultry farming, more than one million cartons of table eggs, and 54 tons of broiler products. The support also included more than 8 million broiler chicks, mothers, and laying chicks, in addition to quail birds.
The ministry indicated that the disbursement process took place after the beneficiaries had completed their data. It was counted and reviewed well by the ministry’s officials through the “agricultural” platform for poultry farming.
The ministry showed that the agricultural subsidies program is proceeding according to the plans drawn for the poultry farming sector, explaining that the total amount of support provided to the poultry sector has reached more than 550 million riyals so far, as these sums will contribute to supporting the local product, to achieve food security through the development of poultry raising activity in the Kingdom.
It is noteworthy that the agricultural subsidies program aims to support the local poultry farming product and enhance food security by meeting the increasing demand for poultry products.
