The Saudi Defense Minister, Prince Khalid bin Salman, has met with senior US officials at the White House in Washington, reported the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
On Tuesday, Prince Khalid met with the US Secretary of State and acting White House National Security Advisor, Marco Rubio; the US Secretary of War, Pete Hegseth; and the US Special Envoy for the Middle East, Steve Witkoff.
During the meeting, the Saudi Defense Minister and the US officials reviewed the relations between Saudi Arabia and the US, exploring the strategic partnership between the two countries.
Moreover, the meeting addressed the latest regional and international developments. The officials also discussed issues of common concern and efforts made toward addressing them.
The meeting saw the attendance of Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador to the US, Princess Reema Bandar Al-Saud, alongside other senior Saudi and US officials.
Prince Khalid bin Salman visited the US in February 2025, where he met with Hegseth at the Pentagon. During their meeting, they emphasized the enduring friendship and strategic partnership between the two countries.
Both defense officials explored ways to bolster the defense and military partnership between the Kingdom and the US. They also reviewed the latest regional and international developments, and efforts made to promote security and stability.
