The CEO of Takamol Holding Company, Ahmed Al Yamani, asserted that financial amounts allocated to support the “Qwora” and “Wosol” programs make Saudi Arabia the largest country in the world in terms of providing government financial support to empower Saudi women in the labor market.
Al-Yamani highlighted in an interview dedicated to the Saudi new channel of “Al-Arabiya” the importance of supporting Saudi women’s work, given the figures that indicate that unemployment rate among women is 30% compared to 5% among men in the Kingdom.
He said that the “ Qwora” program, which focuses on caring for children and “Wosol”, which focuses on the costs of moving women to and from work, support the inclusion of women in the labor market in Saudi Arabia.
He also emphasized that the “Wosol” program covers 80% of the cost of moving women to work, while the “Qwora” program covers 80% of the costs of childcare.
He further revealed that the number of women who benefit from the “Wosol” program ranges between 50 to 60,000, while the “Qwora” program affords benefit to 2000 to 3000 women.
