Prince of Al Baha Region Launches Winter in Al Baha Festival

His Royal Highness Prince Dr. Hussam bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, Prince of the Al Baha region, inaugurated today the “Winter in Al Baha” festival.

This festival includes 350 diverse events to be held in the governorates of the Tihama sector and will continue for 90 days.

Ceremony Events

The ceremony will be held in the historic village of Dhi Ain in Al Makhwah Governorate. It included featured a poetic recital and an operetta titled “Homeland of Dignity” performed by the Tihama Folklore Group.

Additionally, this operetta consisted of three tableaus highlighting various developmental and progressive aspects of the Kingdom and the Al Baha region.

Statement by Prince of Al Baha Region

In a press statement after the event, His Highness the Prince of the Al Baha region highlighted the region’s rich geographical diversity.

He also mentioned that visitors could experience the cool climate of the Sarat sector and the warm weather of  Tihama sector.

Increase in Regional Activities

In addition, His Highness noted an increase in various events in the Al Baha region. He emphasized the launch of the Winter in Al Baha festival.

Also it includes dozens of activities in sports, entertainment, culture, agriculture, and marketing. He appreciated the cooperation and integration among the relevant authorities in enhancing the region’s tourism role.

Recognition of Regional Festivals

Prince Hussam bin Saud acknowledged the positive impact of various festivals in the region, including agricultural festivals.

Furthermore, this year, 12 festivals were held, contributing to the diversification of tourist destinations and stimulating economic activity.

Additionally, he stressed the importance of taking care of heritage villages in the region of government agencies.

Development of Heritage Villages

Consequently, Prince Hussam bin Saud  praised the development of certain heritage villages in the region, such as Dhi Ain and Al Mousa villages.

Finally, he noted that heritage sites in general, and heritage villages in particular narrate the history of the region.
