KSrelief Previous Efforts in Helping Ukraine
It is worth mentioning that this is not the first time KSA has offered its hand to Ukraine. KSrelief has sent many humanitarian aid to Ukraine.
The last aid included food, medical supplies, and other necessities. As a result of this aid, the suffering of individuals affected by the conflict in Ukraine has been lessened.
The Ukrainian-Russian crisis
The Ukraine and Russia crisis was initiated as Ukraine intended to join NATO. Meanwhile, Russia refused this idea, considering NATO a threat to its national security.
After several discussions between the two countries, Ukraine insisted on joining NATO. As a result, Russia has conducted a military attack on Ukraine. Now, the situation in Ukraine significantly impacts the economics, infrastructure, and social fabric of the country.
Moreover, the situation in Ukraine has had a profound impact on the security and stability of the area. It also resulted in the deteriorating ties between Russia and the West.
KSA Mediating Role
Besides the KSA’s humanitarian support represented by KSrelief, KSA seeks to de-escalate the situation between Russia and Ukraine. Previously, the Crown Prince, Mohammed bin Salman expressed Saudi Arabia’s will to mediate disputes between Russia and Ukraine.
Moreover, Salman effectively negotiated the release of ten Western prisoners from Russian custody, showcasing the diplomatic abilities of KSA. This preparedness highlights Saudi Arabia’s significant influence on world affairs and its dedication to maintaining international peace.
