For the first time, female scout division kicks off in Saudi Arabia
The Prince of Riyadh, Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, inaugurated recently the first women’s scout band in the region, according to the Saudi newspaper of ‘Sabq’.
The inauguration of the band came during his meeting with members of the General Administration of Technical and Vocational Training in Riyadh in his office in Al-Hakam Palace, where the Director General of Technical and Vocational Training in the region Abdul Rahman bin Omar Al-Muqbal presented the achievements of the administration and the inauguration of women’s scout teams for the region.
Al-Muqbel gave a presentation on the accomplishments implemented by the General Administration of Technical and Vocational Training in Riyadh, reviewing the training facilities and the numbers of male , female trainees in them, as well as a report on the community service programs “Atqan” which was directed and supported by the Foundation’s governor, Ahmed Al-Fuhaid.
During the inauguration of the women’s scout teams, the medals were handed over to the women leaders of the Hospitals College of Technology for girls in the capital Riyadh.
