AlUla will host the test race for the 2026 World Endurance Championship this Saturday, held in parallel with the Saudi Arabian Equestrian Federation Endurance Cup, according to the Saudi Press Agency.
Organized by the Royal Commission for AlUla in partnership with the Saudi Arabian Equestrian Federation, the event will bring together 270 riders from 18 countries.
Held under the supervision of the International Equestrian Federation (FEI), the 160-kilometer, three-star test race, will evaluate AlUla’s readiness to host the 2026 World Endurance Championship.
Organizers will also assess the facilities, trails, timing systems, and preparations for international judges.
Meanwhile, the Saudi Arabian Equestrian Federation Endurance Cup will feature a two-star 120-kilometer race alongside a one-star 100-kilometer competition.
Interestingly, AlUla has a has proven success in hosting several endurance races, most importantly the prestigious Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Cup, recognized as the most valuable event of its kind in the world. This remarkable success has enabled the historic city to secure the honor of hosting the 2026 World Endurance Championship.
